The artist, Janine Lea Swan been
designing gifts for over 30 years. Janine has a BFA in art education from the University of Texas in Austin. She taught art in
Houston public schools,
taught watercolor in private art galleries and then started Swan Greeting Cards in 1980 to stay home and raise
her children. Her 1st ballet tags were noticed by all the people at
her daughter's dance studio and they started asking her for similar
products for all their kids activities. In 1999 US Kids Cheer
& Dance was created and now all of her cheer, dance, ballet,
sports and other custom designed products are being sold nationwide in
retail stores, in many national uniform & gift catalogs, as well as on
her website.
Thousands of designs
are available and created by Janine, with all of her products being custom printed.
Her husband, Bill, is a printer as well as all the business and financial matters. Their son,
Brice, was on board as of 6-05 as a printer and manager of the
shipping and delivery department. He is now serving in the US Navy
stationed in San Diego as of May 25, 2007.
He
is assigned to the Destroyer USS John Paul Jones which is a support ship
to the USS Nimitz Task Force.
